2001

  • Teachers from the FLC were recruited for the national evaluation team to be trained and certified within the STANAG 6001 seminars coordinated by Karen Sacre, Gloria Jenkins (USA) and Rita Green (UK)
  • Military terminology courses were organized under the guidance of British military instructors.
  • A group of teachers participated in a seminar for developing items for STANAG testing, in Poljce, Slovenia

    2002

  • A group of teachers participated in the first national team for developing STANAG 6001 tests under the guidance of prof. Rita Green, PhD in Linguistics at Lancaster University, Great Britain (2002-2005)
  • The annual certification of the teachers who are evaluators for speaking in the STANAG evaluation started in 2002 and has continued to the present

    2003

  • Teachers continued their specializations through participation in professional development courses in the USA, Switzerland, Canada and Germany
  • The German teachers took part in the didactic methodology and STANAG 6001 items development courses in Hurth, Germany

    2004-2011

  • Teachers continued their specializations through participation in professional development courses in the USA and Canada.

    2012

  • The teachers participated in the on-line platform tutor formation seminars.
  • The methodical seminar “Creating materials for the development of the reading and listening skills in English” was conceived and developed
  • Teachers participated in various work groups organized by DGMRU for developing syllabuses and evaluation items

    2013

  • Teachers participated in work groups organized by DGMRU for developing syllabuses and evaluation items for on-line courses

    2014

  • The German teachers developed and implemented the German on-line courses for maintaining linguistic skills
  • Between 2014 and 2017, the FLC Sibiu organized a series of seminars for the methodical training of the teachers in the all the army FLCs, for developing teachers’ ability of teaching speaking for advanced courses, focusing on group discussion

    2015

  • The French teacher took part in work groups for developing an on-line course for learning French at the pre-intermediate level
  • The English and French teachers took part in the completion of the Romanian-English-French dictionary, under the supervision of DGMRU

    2016

  • Between 2016 and 2019, the seminar “Motivation, attitude and efficiency in teaching foreign language to adult learners” was held to train teachers in the army FLCs
  • Teachers took part in various work groups developing items for on-line testing and re-designing the content of the on-line courses syllabuses

    2017-2020

  • Methodical training seminars were held for developing teachers’ abilities to teach the writing skill at advanced level
  • Teachers continued teaching English, German and French in face-to-face, on-line and hybrid courses
  • Teachers continued taking part in work groups and seminars for the development of syllabuses and evaluation items
  • Teachers continued developing various papers and materials meant for teacher development as well as student linguistic development (Developing Listening Skills, A Methodical Guide for Teaching Writing at Advanced Level, collections of materials on military topics for advanced learners, etc.)
  • Two teachers participated in the international work group MELOC, for developing a learning course in English for advanced students, coordinated by DGMRU
  • The FLC conceived and coordinated the project “aNATOmia of an alliance” under the patronage of the Land Forces Academy

    2021

  • The French intermediate course for learning was developed and implemented
  • The German beginner on-line course for learning was developed and implemented
  • Teachers participated in a work group coordinated by DGMRU for conceiving and developing a hybrid course for learning English for beginner learners
  • Teachers participated in group and individual activities of adjusting and transposing the syllabuses and materials from face-to-face intensive courses to digital courses at preintermediate, intermediate and upperintermediate levels

    2022

  • Teachers participation in training activities organized by BILC (BUREAU FOR INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE CO-ORDINATION)
