FLC Bucharest

History

The secondary Language Center in Bucharest was established on April 10th 2002, being subordinated to the Land Forces General Staff.

As of September 1st 2018, the center has been transferred into the administrative jurisdiction of the Land Forces Academy “Nicolae Balcescu” from Sibiu.

The center is located in Pavilion B1 within the barracks of 265 Military Police “Tudor Vladimirescu” from Bucharest.

Digital laboratory

Purpose:

• to test listening skills as part of various tests: ALCPT, placement tests for courses, others
• to administer various course tests
• to study during regular class time, by combining input with output
• to do personal study and research

• digital interactive multimedia all-in-one board, 12 cubicle-style places with individual Internet connected computers, headsets, audio amplifier and DVD player

Phonic lab

Purpose:

• evaluation and testing
• class and individual learning activities

Equipment:

• 12 places with audio headsets
• switchboard, Internet connected computer, TV and audio CD system

Multimedia lab

Purpose:

• evaluation, testing, classroom activities, research

Equipment:

• 13 Internet connected computers, interactive display and headsets

Purpose:

• free access, for teaching staff and students
