FLC Cluj-Napoca

History

The secondary Language Center in Bucharest was established on April 14th 2002, being subordinated to the Commandment of the 4 Regional Corps “Maresal Constantin Prezan”.

As of September 1st 2018, the center has been transferred into the administrative jurisdiction of the Land Forces Academy “Nicolae Balcescu” from Sibiu.

The center is located in Pavilion B3 within the barracks of 317 ISR Regiment “Vladeasa”.

Purpose:

• to test listening skills as part of various tests: ALCPT, placement tests for courses, others
• to administer various course tests
• testare de plasament in vederea sustinerii evaluarii competentei lingvistice conform STANAG 6001
• to study during regular class time, by combining input with output
• to do personal study and research

• all-in-one interactive frontal board, 12 places with individual Internet connected computers, headsets, audio amplifier and DVD player

Phonic lab

Purpose:

• evaluation and testing
• class and individual learning activities

• 12 places with audio headsets
• audio CD system, Internet connected laptop

Multimedia lab

Purpose:

• evaluation, testing, classroom activities, research

Equipment:

• 12 places
• 13 internet connected computers, smartboard, video-projector

8 classrooms

Purpose:

• the course hours

Equipment:

• classrooms with TV and audio system
• 3 of the classrooms have audio system (8 individual audio posts), smart TV and video-projector

Library

Purpose:

• free access, for teaching staff and students

Equipment:

• course books and 250 titles
• audio and video CDs and DVDs

Bedrooms

Equipment:

• nine 2-person bedrooms
• refrigerator, wardrobe, bed, table and coat hanger
